Founded on 2 October 1989 in Mogappair East, Chennai, VASANTHAM Residential Special School for Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disorders began with a simple yet powerful vision: to create a nurturing environment where every individual, regardless of ability, is valued, respected, and empowered to lead a meaningful life.
What started with just six individuals with special needs has grown into a trusted residential centre, supporting approximately 120 children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, VASANTHAM provides comprehensive educational, therapeutic, vocational, and residential services, helping individuals develop essential life skills, confidence, independence, and dignity.
