Assistance to Persons with Disabilities for Purchase/Fitting of Aids & Appliances
The ADIP Scheme is a Government of India scheme that provides assistance to eligible Persons with Disabilities for obtaining aids and assistive devices. The main objective is to improve independence, mobility, communication and day-to-day functioning of persons with disabilities. The scheme is implemented through agencies such as ALIMCO, National Institutes, CRCs, DDRCs, State Corporations and eligible NGOs
Who Can Benefit?
The scheme can benefit children and adults with disabilities, subject to the current eligibility criteria and assessment. For children with special needs, assistive devices can support:

Eligibility
Under the current ADIP guidelines, the key eligibility requirements include:
Indian citizen of any age
40% or more disability as per the applicable criteria
Valid UDID Card / UDID Enrollment Number with Disability Certificate
Aadhaar / applicable identification
Monthly income from all sources not exceeding ₹30,000
For dependents, parents/guardians’ income is considered
Assistance for the same purpose should not have been received within the prescribed period

How to Apply for ADIP?
Applications can be processed through the ARJUN/ADIP platform and authorised implementing agencies, depending on the applicable process.

The device is provided according to the beneficiary’s functional needs and assessment. Having a disability certificate does not mean that every device is automatically available.
