What is ALIMCO?
ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India) is a Government of India organisation under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). It manufactures and provides various assistive devices and rehabilitation aids for Persons with Disabilities.
ALIMCO & ADIP Scheme
ADIP is the Government scheme through which eligible Persons with Disabilities can receive assistance for aids and appliances.
ALIMCO is one of the major implementing agencies under ADIP.

Who Can Benefits ?
Eligible children and adults with disabilities may receive appropriate assistive devices under applicable Government schemes. For children with special needs, these devices can support:

Basic Eligiblity
Eligibility depends on the current ADIP guidelines, including factors such as:
- Disability certification / UDID
- Disability percentage
- Family income
- Type of assistive device required
- Assessment by the concerned authority
How to Get an Assistive Device?
Documents Generally Required
- UDID Card / Disability Certificate
- Aadhaar Card
- Address Proof
- Income Certificate / Income-related document
- Recent Photograph
- Medical / Assessment Reports, if required
The device is generally provided based on the beneficiary’s functional requirement and assessment, not simply on request.
