Jivhala Society for Mentally Handicapped is an institution working for Mentally Handicapped people. Established in 1979 in Solapur, Maharashtra, the society works for the education, rehabilitation, and early intervention of mentally handicapped children, youth and old people. The society has been actively developing and implementing various technical and non-technical training modules as well as interventions for the sustainable rehabilitation. Immediately after its establishment as a registered society (in 1979); the Society started an independent school for mentally handicapped children at Solapur on 1st December 1980.
