Rahmaniya VHSS for Handicapped

Rahmaniya VHSS for Handicapped is a unique educational institution offering Pre University education under the Directorate of General Education, Govt. of Kerala, India. Located at Calicut Medical College and managed by the Association for Welfare of the Handicapped (AWH) Calicut, this centre of academic excellence offers a platform, after matriculation, to carry forward the twin routes of higher education and vocational skill development in two years. The school follows a philosophy of social inclusion through the Integrated Education for Disabled (IED) scheme, opening the doors of higher education to the hearing impaired children, along with others.

Established in 1991, the school has been able to carve its own niche in the society through its positive intervention contributing to national development through thousands of qualified alumni spread over every nook of the country and of the globe over a period of three decades. The repeated success stories in curricular, co-curricular and off campus areas have earned the school its fame as one of the best performing Schools in the state.
