Stepping Stones Center is an organization dedicated to promoting the understanding and application of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) through various services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities and their families since 2013.
Here, we believe that every child has the potential to gain skills that are above their current functioning if we use the right instructional methods and scaffold their skills. Therefore, ABA is our scientific foundation from which our interventions are derived.
Applied Behaviour Analysis is the science, which studies principles of learning and behaviour. It is a systematic approach for changing socially significant behaviours through changing environmental variables.
Behaviour analysts and practitioners they supervise provide services to address skill deficits (e.g., communication, activities of daily living), academics, and improve problem behaviour (e.g., aggression, self-injurious behaviour).
