Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) of differently abled people is one of the important activities of VOSARD since 2002. we are working in 8 districts of Kerala by networking and strengthening Differently Abled People’s Organisations (DPOs) at village, panchayat, district and state levels. VOSARD has two rehabilitation and training centres at Kumily and Kattappana in Idukki district. Rehabilitation of children with disabilities is an important component of CBR interventions. We provide rehabilitation services like medical assessment, treatment, correction surgeries, providing assistive devices and nutritional supplements, counselling, referrals, school enrolment, etc. VOSARD is the NGO member of the Local Level Committee (LLC) formed in Idukki District under the National Trust Act. We arrange for providing Legal Guardianship Certificate and enrolment for Niramaya health insurance scheme.
