Niramaya – Health Insurance Scheme

What is Niramaya?

Niramaya is a health insurance scheme of the National Trust for eligible Persons with Disabilities covered under the National Trust Act. The scheme provides health insurance support of up to ₹1 lakh on a reimbursement basis and covers various medical, hospitalization, therapy and related expenses.

Who Can Benefit?

The scheme is available to eligible persons with disabilities covered under the National Trust Act, including persons with:

  • Autism
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Intellectual Disability
  • Multiple Disabilities

A valid Disability Certificate with UDID Card or UDID Enrolment Number is required as per the current National Trust information.

The overall coverage is up to ₹1,00,000 per beneficiary, subject to the applicable limits under different categories.

  • Treatment can be taken from any hospital
  • Available across India
  • Coverage is provided on a reimbursement basis
  • Same broad coverage applies irrespective of the type of National Trust disability covered.

  • Disability Certificate
  • UDID Card / UDID Enrolment Number
  • Aadhaar / applicable ID
  • Bank details, where required
  • Medical documents and bills for reimbursement claims

Additional documents may be required depending on the claim.

Claims can be registered/tracked through the designated claim process. The National Trust currently provides claim support through Medi Assist.
