Udyam - A Multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Centre

Autism was first described more than 60 years ago. Yet, a vast majority of people, including medical and educational professionals, are still unaware of how autism affects individuals. They struggle to find an answer to how to effectively support and interact with individuals with autism. Ms. Sudeshna Chanda, founder, academician, and social activist, recognized the same struggle as a parent and individuals in Agartala, Tripura, and also the urgency to provide a solution for this struggle.  In 2015, Ms. Chanda along with a team of committed professionals laid the foundation of  Udyam – a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center, a not-for-profit organization– to serve persons with special needs and their families.
