R Balagurusamy, R Amuthanilavan, P Venkatesh, S Sabarimanikandan, S Srividya Manjunath, Prabhuram Niranjan and C Satheesh studied MBBS in various govt colleges. After graduating in 2008, they were employed in a corporate hospital when they felt that they were not doing enough for the society. Hence, after duty hours, they ran a small clinic at Mahatma Gandhi Nagar.
In 2015, we started a hospice in a rented building and admitted 20 terminally ill patients. Later in 2016, with the help of retired government employees Mr.Janardhanan and Mrs.Jalaja, we constructed a 50-bedded hospice facility on 27 cents of donated land in Vilachery, Madurai's suburbs, which we named Nethravathi Pain, Palliative Care and Rehabilitation Center
