How I can control my kid from hyperactivity

How I can control my kid from hyperactivity during this lockdown period? I m a nursing personal and single parent also.my mom and dad also taking some psychiatric drugs. Feeling very upset.

Hi

I fully empathize with your situation and although can't change your situation much but can try to give you some tips to mange the hyperactivity of your child ..

 • Get moving. It is well known that regular, moderate exercise can help improve mood, regulate sleep, and increase energy. ...Try to engage him in small exercises.
 • Try out  vitamins (and minerals). ...Vitamins that are also antioxidants (such as vitamins A, C, and E) lower inflammation, protect fatty cell membranes, and support many cellular metabolic processes in the brain, and thus may indirectly improve cognition and behavior symptoms in ADHD.
 • Consume more protein. ...
 • Cut back on sugar. ...Refined sugar also induces erratic blood sugar levels, and both low and high sugar levels may affect cognition. Aside from the usual culprits including soda, candy, and cookies, watch out for chips, crackers, and other processed or packaged foods. Canned foods and condiments, especially ketchup, tend to have very high sugar levels as well.

Take a screen break. Give him other alternative, such as craft work, painting , may be fireless cooking such ad spreading jam on bread etc.
 •  Be consistent with your parenting. Children with ADHD& Autism  succeed in environments that are consistent. This means that there must be a sense of structure and routine at home.

You may notice that hyperactivity becomes worse during unstructured times — and without supervision, hyperactivity may increase to an excessive level. By building a routine with some flexibility, you create fewer possibilities for hyperactivity to intensify.

Over time, a stable structure can transform into healthy practices. This will provide your child with the ability to manage their hyperactivity. While you don’t need to micromanage, you do need to put some reasonable orderliness into place.
 • Structure his routine from morning till evening, so that he is not confused and knows what he has to do next .
 • Try out soothing music . Buy him a noise cancellation ear phone if possible. Otherwise just put on some soothing instrumental music and train his mind to calm himself with that .
 • Though difficult, do not loose your temper . Children learn ro take cues from you and respond accordingly. A reassurance (even though u dont feel yourself) would calm his frayed nerves .

Moreover try and take help from a family member if possible. Creating a support system is necessary. These are tough times . But this will also pass . More power to you !!

Dear parents,

Give him more body compression exercises like rolling into blanket and tapping over with palm, you can also apply massager at his digitals ( palm and foot) check his expression he likes it / not.

One major reason of being hyper is diet, please try to decrease carbohydrates and sugar intake in his diet.

Give him frequently oil  massage on head during that give him gentle ear and eye pressure.

Try to avoid bright lights rather provide him calm environment. As if he is find of music give him music which relates to nature, om chanting.
